Who We Are

Welcome to VOYAGES SOUTH PREPARATORY HIGH SCHOOL- a small, safe, supportive and standards-based transfer school designed for you, the student! VOYAGES SOUTH, a sister-school to VOYAGES PREP in Elmhurst, Queens, was created by a group of adults who are familiar with the transfer-school model and young adults who believe that individualized attention, support and interesting classes are keys to success for all students. At VOYAGES SOUTH, you will have choice, voice and an opportunity to make a difference at school and in the world.

VOYAGES (Viable Option for Young Adults to Grow Excel and Succeed) Prep South Queens is a collaboration between the NYC Department of Education and the Queens Community House. We serve students who are at least 16 years old who are struggling to earn credits in a traditional high school environment.

We invite a diversity of experiences, cultures, visions, learning styles, and curiosities into our school, and our student-centered approach promotes equity and respect for differences in the classroom, school and larger world. VOYAGES SOUTH creates a rigorous environment for learning by holding all of our students to high expectations.
